La edición europea de Financial Times publica las conclusiones de una auditoria confidencial del Tribunal Federal de Alemania, afirmando: hay “claras indicaciones” que organizaciones terroristas se sirven del tejido bancario alemán como base de operaciones, con inquietantes ramificaciones en Pekín, Tel Aviv, Londres Dubai. Verbatim: “The creativity and innovation of the protagonists appears without bounds,” wrote the court in an abstract of the 42-page report seen by the FT. “They rely on expert advice from tax accountants, auditors and law firms.” In one case, the court said, crime rings in China, Israel, the UK and Dubai with suspected links to terror organisations managed to claim €1.15bn in VAT refunds from phantom mobile-phone sales before the scheme was uncovered in February 2005.
